Project Overview

The Scientific Forestry Management Unit aims to advance research and promote sustainable forestry practices across Jharkhand. The following positions are available for enthusiastic and eligible candidates:

Available Positions

1. Senior Project Associates (Senior Research Fellow)

  • Number of Posts  : 3
  • Emoluments:   ₹42,000 + 18% HRA per month

Essential Qualifications:

  • First Class M.Sc in Forestry, Botany, Agriculture, Statistics, Remote Sensing & GIS, Wildlife Science, Zoology, or Biotechnology.
  • Candidates with 3 years of a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of a master’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAL/ICFRE NET qualification or a Ph.D.

Desirable Skills:

  •  Proficiency in research, data analysis, and drafting scientific articles.
  • Experience in working with forest communities.
  • Four years of work experience in relevant fields.

2. Project Associates (Junior Project Fellow)

  • Number of Posts: 2
  • Emoluments: ₹25,000 + 18% HRA per month

 Essential Qualifications:

  •  First Class M.Sc in Forestry, Botany, Agriculture, Statistics, Remote Sensing & GIS,
  • Wildlife Science, Zoology, Environmental Science, or Rural Development.

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in field data collection and working with forest communities.
  • Two years of work experience in relevant research activities.

3. Field Assistants (Project Assistants)

 

Number of Posts: 2
Emoluments: ₹20,000 + 18% HRA per month

Essential Qualifications:
B.Sc in Forestry, Botany, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or BCA (Computer Applications).
Desirable Skills:
Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data entry.

4. Field Workers

 

 Number of Posts: 2
 Emoluments: ₹15,000 + 18% HRA per month

 Essential Qualifications:

12th Pass or equivalent.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in field surveys, sample collection, and laboratory analysis.

Key Terms and Conditions

– The appointments are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
– Candidates must be medically fit to work in various forest areas across Jharkhand.
– Age limits (as of the interview date) are as follows:
– Senior Research Fellow: 35 years
– Junior Project Fellow: 28 years
– Project Assistant: 30 years
– Field Worker: 30 years
– Note: Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women candidates.
– No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
